SUDAN GOLD secured a 31 kg gold export from Torit, South Sudan despite sudden Ministry of Mining portal downtime using manual verification and physical permit submission to meet Dubai refinery’s 12-day deadline.

Challenge

South Sudan’s online export licensing system failed during peak processing hours, halting all digital submissions for 72 hours. The Dubai refinery required shipment within 12 days; competitors could not proceed without digital approval.

Solution

We coordinated with the Ministry of Mining in Juba to submit physical forms with wet-ink stamps, verified operator licenses on-site, and provided handwritten weigh logs signed by both parties. Customs accepted the manual file; cargo cleared Port Sudan within 48 hours of approval.
